Basketball Game Preview: Malakoff Tigers vs. Mineola Yellowjackets

The Malakoff Tigers will square off against the Mineola Yellowjackets at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Malakoff has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Malakoff is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They breezed by Eustace to the tune of 66-38 on Tuesday. The Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three games by 26 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Mineola took a blow against Edgewood on Tuesday, falling 78-42.

Malakoff's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-4. As for Mineola, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-15.

Malakoff didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Mineola when the teams last played back in January, but they still walked away with a 32-27 win. Does Malakoff have another victory up their sleeve, or will Mineola turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
