James Stampley Delivers Best Effort of Season

James Stampley produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Kankakee to the win on Saturday. Stampley picked up 148 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

Unfortunately for Bloom, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Stampley. When Stampley last faced the Blazing Trojan back in October of 2023, he rushed for 65 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries.

Phillip Turner was instrumental in extending Kankakee's winning streak to six on Saturday. Turner did his part (and then some), throwing for 166 yards and two touchdowns while completing 76.9% of his passes for the 'W'.

For the year, Turner has thrown 8 touchdowns while averaging 121 passing yards per game.

Cedric Terrell and Co. Win Sixth in a Row

Cedric Terrell's big game helped extend Kankakee's winning streak to six on Saturday. Terrell turned in nothing short of a gem, rushing for 22 yards and a touchdown.

For the year, Terrell has averaged 19.6 receiving yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he was only averaging 6.71 receiving yards per game.

Rich Township was sadly handed a loss on Friday, but Ortez Johnson did his best to prevent it. Despite the defeat, Johnson was still balling out as he rushed for 82 yards on only ten carries.

Rich Township's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 3-4. Johnson will have a chance to log another big game when he takes on Thornridge on Friday.
