Baseball Recap: 21st Century Charter Comes Up Short

Saturday just wasn't the day for 21st Century Charter's offense. They lost 17-0 to the Hammond Baptist Swordsmen on Saturday. The Cougars haven't had much luck with the Swordsmen recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

21st Century Charter saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Greer Adams, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases.

21st Century Charter's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Hammond Baptist, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season.

21st Century Charter will head out to challenge Gary West Side at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hammond Baptist does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
