Basketball Recap: Okaw Valley Takes a Loss

Okaw Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They took a blow against the Heritage Hawks, falling 56-28. The Timberwolves were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Hawks apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Heritage to victory, but perhaps none more so than Addison Hopper, who went 6 of 13 en route to 14 points and three steals. Maegan Frye was another key player, putting up ten points in addition to eight assists and eight rebounds.

Okaw Valley's loss dropped their record down to 1-21. As for Heritage, they pushed their record up to 16-10 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Okaw Valley will host Villa Grove at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Heritage, they will face off against Cerro Gordo/Bement at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
