New Mission waltzed into their match on Saturday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Blackstone-Millville Chargers.

New Mission had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 21-25, 29-27, 25-11, 25-16.

Blackstone-Millville's loss came despite strong showings from Alyssa Millette and Brenna Kotsianas. Millette had four aces, three digs, and one block, while Kotsianas had four aces and one block. Kotsianas has been hot recently, having posted two or more aces the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Miya Gagne, who had six digs and two aces.

New Mission's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Blackstone-Millville, they are on an 11-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-10.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. New Mission will take on Boston Latin Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Blackstone-Millville, they will face off against Academy of the Pacific Rim at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
