Hokes Bluff suffered their biggest defeat since December 27, 2023 on Tuesday. They came up short against the Ashville Bulldogs, falling 94-73. The Eagles' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Ashville's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but JB Potter led the charge by dropping a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds. Potter's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Dalton Rice-Thompson, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 assists.

Hokes Bluff's defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 15-4. As for Ashville, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-7.

Hokes Bluff will square off against Etowah at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Ashville, they will challenge Oneonta at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Ashville has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
