Basketball Recap: Monacan Chiefs vs. Atlee Raiders
Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Monacan couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They came up short against the Atlee Raiders on Thursday, falling 79-59. While losing is never fun, the Chiefs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 85th, while the Raiders are ranked 16th).

Despite the loss, Monacan still got an impressive performance from Tai Bowler, who dropped a double-double with 28 points and 15 rebounds. Thanks to that strong game, Bowler now owns an excellent 46.5% field goal percentage.
