Basketball Recap: Campolindo Beats Alhambra for Their Third Straight Victory

Campolindo had won two straight games and Ren Marchetti did his part to make it three on Monday. The Campolindo Cougars blew past the Alhambra Bulldogs 68-44 thanks in part to Marchetti, who went 9 for 14 en route to 26 points. He is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games.

Another player making a difference was Max Robeson, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and nine boards. Those nine rebounds gave him a new career-high.

Loss or not, Alhambra got some senior leadership from Samuel Gillaspy and Jaimison Krause. Gillaspy posted 17 points, while Krause went 6 of 11 on his way to 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Chael Collins, who put up four points and five boards.

Campolindo pushed their record up to 12-4 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.0 points per game. As for Alhambra, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-7 record this season.

Campolindo has already played their next match, a 58-45 victory against Ygnacio Valley on the 15th. As for Alhambra, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 58-33 defeat against Clayton Valley Charter on the 15th.
