Baseball Game Preview: Simpson Academy Cougars vs. Bayou Academy Colts

For the second straight game, Simpson Academy will face off against Bayou Academy. The Cougars will be playing at home against the Colts at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Simpson Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.3 runs per game this season.

Simpson Academy is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 10-4 margin over Bayou Academy. The win continues a trend for the Cougars in their matchups with the Colts: they've now won five in a row.

Barrett McKenney was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Kade Walker, who went 2-for-3 with three runs and one stolen base.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Simpson Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They are a perfect 10-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
