Football Recap: Keys Cougars vs. Adair Warriors

If Keys was feeling good fresh off their 75-28 takedown of Chelsea last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Cougars lost 64-41 to the Adair Warriors on Thursday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Cougars of the 32-14 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Despite the defeat, Keys saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Ryder Davis rushed for 161 yards and a pair of TDs while picking up 7.7 yards per carry, and also threw for 204 yards and one touchdown. With that strong performance, Davis is now averaging an impressive 103.2 rushing yards per game. Another player making a difference was Garret Lemasters, who rushed for 58 yards and one score on only eight carries.

Adair's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Cole Moody led the charge by picking up 165 receiving yards and three TDs. Keys' loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Adair, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.
