Soccer Game Preview: South Lakes vs. Westfield

The South Lakes Seahawks will take on the Westfield Bulldogs at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. South Lakes' offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for seven straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

South Lakes fell victim to Oakton and their airtight defense on Thursday. They came up short against the Cougars, falling 7-0.

Meanwhile, Westfield also failed to score in their most recent game. They fell just short of Centreville by a score of 1-0 on Thursday. Westfield have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Westfield's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4-1. As for South Lakes, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6-1.

South Lakes couldn't quite get it done against Westfield when the teams last played back in May of 2024 as they fell 3-1. Can the Seahawks avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
