Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Presley Korte and Dalaynie Loftin Lead Severance to Victory

While Severance's win against Greeley Central wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Silver Knights had just enough and edged out the Wildcats 3-2. The victory was familiar territory for the Silver Knights, who have now won three contests in a row.

Severance had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 25-27, 19-25, 25-22, 25-15, 15-7.

Severance was led to victory by Dalaynie Loftin and Presley Korte. Loftin had 11 aces and six digs, while Korte had 12 digs and four aces. Korte is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last five games she's played.

The win got Severance back to even at 6-6. As for Greeley Central, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season.

Coincidentally, Severance and Greeley Central will both be playing Roosevelt the next time they take the court. The Wildcats will host the Roughriders at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Silver Knights will head out to face them at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
