Basketball Recap: Ketchikan Comes Up Short

Ketchikan lost against Juneau-Douglas last Thursday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Ketchikan Kings lost 69-43 to the Juneau-Douglas Crimson Bears. While losing is never fun, the Kings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alaska basketball rankings (they are ranked 60th, while the Crimson Bears are ranked sixth).

This is the second loss in a row for Ketchikan and nudges their season record down to 8-17. As for Juneau-Douglas, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-6 record this season.

While Ketchikan had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday.
