Soccer Recap: Mt. Diablo Comes Up Short

Mt. Diablo was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 4-1 to the Northgate Broncos. While losing is never fun, the Red Devils can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 723rd, while the Broncos are ranked 229th).

Mt. Diablo's defeat dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Northgate, their victory bumped their record up to 9-5.

Mt. Diablo wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next match, a 4-0 loss against Clayton Valley Charter on the 11th. As for Northgate, they have also already played their next game, a 3-1 defeat against Acalanes on the 11th.
