Softball Recap: Hobbton Comes Up Short

Hobbton lost against North Duplin back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Wildcats came up short against the Rebels, falling 16-1. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Hobbton saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aubree McLamb, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one RBI.

Hobbton's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for North Duplin, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 7-1.

Coming up, Hobbton will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Rosewood at 6:00 p.m. The Eagles' pitching crew has only allowed one run per game this season, so the Wildcats' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for North Duplin, they will venture away from home to square off against Lakewood at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
