Football Recap: Healdsburg Takes a Loss

Healdsburg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 14th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 39-19 to the Terra Linda Trojans. The last quarter was a mere formality, since the game's final score was reached by the end of the third quarter.

When it comes to explaining why Healdsburg lost, don't look at Hayden Mariani. Despite the final result, he picked up 82 receiving yards and three touchdowns.

Healdsburg's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Terra Linda, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Healdsburg will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Archie Williams at 7:00 p.m. on the 31st. As for Terra Linda, they will host Piner at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Trojans will be up against the Prospectors' rather soft defense (which has allowed 34.43 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
