Roosevelt had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They blew past the Northridge Grizzlies 3-0 on Tuesday. The Roughriders haven't had any issues with the Grizzlies recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Roosevelt walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the second set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-9, 25-20.

Roosevelt was led to victory by Madi Kage and Izzy Biggs. Kage had nine digs and two aces, while Biggs had three aces. Those three aces gave Biggs a new career-high.

They weren't the only good server: Roosevelt was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 14 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in six consecutive games dating back to last season.

Northridge dropped their record down to 0-3 with the loss, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Roosevelt will head out to take on Longmont at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Northridge, they are headed away from home for the first time to square off against Highland at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
