Softball Recap: Highland Comes Up Short

Highland had lost three straight at home, but on Wednesday they dropped their record down to 4-10 to make it four. They lost 9-0 to the Triad Knights. The Bulldogs were not able to make up for their loss to the Knights from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

As for Triad, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-5. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matchups by seven runs or more this season.

For Triad's part, they saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Syd Horn, who went 1-for-4 with one triple and one run. That triple was Horn's first of the season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Highland will square off against Carrollton at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Triad, they will face off against Centralia at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Orphans will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something the Knights surely won't give up without a fight.
