Baseball Recap: Oneida Comes Up Short

Oneida lost against Pigeon Forge back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Oneida Indians lost 9-1 to the Pigeon Forge Tigers. The Indians just can't catch a break and have now endured four defeats in a row.

Oneida saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Elijah Strunk, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI. Ryder Watson also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Oneida's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Pigeon Forge, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-1-1 record this season.

While Oneida had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
