Softball Recap: Saturday's Loss Ends Vina's Winning Streak

After a string of four wins, Vina's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They lost 9-2 to the Tharptown Wildcats. If the Red Devils were looking for revenge after losing 6-0 to the Wildcats when the teams met back in March of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Vina's defeat dropped their record down to 9-13. As for Tharptown, they moved to 10-12 with that victory, which also ended their five-game losing streak.

Coming up, Vina will take on Foley at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Foley has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.64 runs per game on average), something Vina will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Tharptown, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 loss against Belgreen on the 29th.
