Basketball Recap: Windham Bombers vs. Pymatuning Valley Lakers

If the Windham Bombers were feeling good off their 53-14 takedown of the Chalker Wildcats last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Windham fell just short of the Lakers by a score of 48-45. Windham lost against the Lakers in their previous head to head back in January, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 59-26 score last time.

Leah DeMoss continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Pymatuning Valley, scoring 15 points along with five assists and two steals. DeMoss has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last five times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Taryn Tisch, who scored four points along with nine rebounds and four steals.

Windham's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-8. As for Pymatuning Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 10-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Windham will be staying on the road on Monday to face off against the Huskies at 6:00 p.m. on February 5th. Cardinal is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak. As for Pymatuning Valley, they will head out on the road to face off against the Skippers at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
