It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Pendleton Heights ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the New Palestine Dragons, sneaking past 3-2. For the Arabians, this counts as revenge for the 4-3 victory the Dragons walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2025.

Morgan Bricker spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on eight hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Grace Fisher was incredible, going 1-for-4 with one home run, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2025.

They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Pendleton Heights lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post two or more home runs.

The win made it two in a row for Pendleton Heights and bumps their season record up to 11-12. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 6 runs in those games. As for New Palestine, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pendleton Heights will host Indianapolis Bishop Chatard at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Arabians' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Trojans have averaged an impressive 7.3 runs per game this season. As for New Palestine, they will be playing at home against Munster at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Mustangs' pitching crew has only allowed 4.1 runs per game this season, so the Dragons' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
