Basketball Preview: Fleetwood Tigers vs. Wyomissing Spartans
After two games on the road, Fleetwood is heading back home. They will take on the Wyomissing Spartans at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Fleetwood has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 193 points over their last three games.
Last Saturday, Fleetwood was able to grind out a solid victory over the Panthers, taking the game 57-44.
Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Wyomissing's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They took a 65-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of Lampeter-Strasburg. While losing is never fun, Wyomissing can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 361st, while the Pioneers are ranked 176th).
Fleetwood has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 18-2 record this season. As for Wyomissing, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-7.
Fleetwood didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against the Spartans in their previous meeting back in January, but they still walked away with a 51-46 win. Will Fleetwood repeat their success, or do the Spartans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
