Softball Recap: Valley Takes a Loss

Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 11-1 to Apollo Ridge. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Apollo Ridge this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-5 last Wednesday.

Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Apollo Ridge, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Valley will take on Derry at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The contest will give Valley their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Apollo Ridge, they will challenge Leechburg at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. Apollo Ridge's pitchers better be ready for this one: Leechburg has averaged an impressive 11 runs per game this season.
