Softball Recap: Katella Has No Trouble Against Laguna Hills

Katella gave up the first runs on Friday, but they didn't let that get them down. They were the clear victors by a 13-3 margin over the Laguna Hills Hawks. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Knights.

Katella got a massive performance out of Krystal Barrios, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Those three stolen bases gave Barrios a new career-high. Jozie Guerra was another key player, going 1-for-2 with four stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

Katella always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .533. They are 4-1 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Katella's record is now 8-9. As for Laguna Hills, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.

Coincidentally, Katella and Laguna Hills will both be playing Calvary Chapel the next time they take the field. The Knights will host the Eagles at 3:30 p.m. on Monday, while the Hawks will head out to face them at 3:30 p.m. on the 23rd.
