Washington scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They fell to the Madison Plains Golden Eagles 70-64. The Blue Lions' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it four in a row.

Madison Plains found their leader in freshman Anna Stroup, who went 11 of 22 en route to 25 points in addition to seven rebounds and five steals. With that strong performance, Stroup is now averaging an impressive 15.4 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Kenzie Vallery, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten boards.

Washington's defeat dropped their record down to 9-12. As for Madison Plains, their win bumped their record up to 13-6.

Coming up, Washington will be taking part in a tournament against Gallia Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Madison Plains, they have already played their next match, a 41-20 loss against Fairbanks on the 8th.
