Basketball Game Preview: S & S Consolidated Rams vs. Pottsboro Cardinals

S & S Consolidated is 0-9 against Pottsboro since January of 2015 but things could change on Tuesday. The S & S Consolidated Rams will host the Pottsboro Cardinals at 2:15 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

S & S Consolidated is headed into Tuesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their ninth straight game last Friday. They were dealt a 95-22 defeat at the hands of Leonard. The Rams were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 55-12.

Adam Mutz was S & S Consolidated's leading scorer, having posted ten points. Brenden Hammer held things down on the boards with six rebounds. Joe Orr took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with three assists.

Meanwhile, Pottsboro came up short against Lorena on Friday and fell 56-49. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Cardinals came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 257th, while the Leopards are ranked 591st).

This is the second loss in a row for Pottsboro and nudges their season record down to 11-7. As for S & S Consolidated, their loss dropped their record down to 1-15.

S & S Consolidated took a serious blow against Pottsboro in their previous matchup back in February of 2020, falling 55-19. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point S & S Consolidated was down 30-9.
