Baseball Recap: South Wake Takes a Loss

South Wake came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Ellis County Christian Homeschool Organization Eagles, falling 8-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Sabres have suffered since April 29, 2024.

South Wake saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Joseph Jones, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double.

South Wake has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-16 record this season. As for Ellis County Christian Homeschool Organization, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-12 record this season.

As of now, neither South Wake nor Ellis County Christian Homeschool Organization have any future games scheduled.
