Softball Game Preview: San Marcos Rattlers vs. Judson Rockets

San Marcos hasn't had much luck against Judson recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Rattlers will take on the Rockets at 7:00 p.m. San Marcos has given up an average of 7 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

San Marcos is headed into Friday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game on Tuesday. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 12-2 to East Central, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

Meanwhile, Judson suffered their closest loss since February 17, 2024 on Tuesday. They fell just short of Steele by a score of 5-3. The Rockets haven't had much luck with the Knights recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Judson's defeat dropped their record down to 2-18. As for San Marcos, their loss dropped their record down to 9-14-2.

San Marcos beat Judson 5-2 in their previous matchup back in March. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rattlers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
