Softball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Lemon Bay

Lemon Bay waltzed into their contest on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the North Port Bobcats by a score of 6-3. For the Manta Rays, this counts as revenge for the 8-7 win the Bobcats walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2024.

Reagan Altieri spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on five hits.

At the plate, Taylor Jones was excellent, scoring two runs while going 3-for-3. Another player making a difference was Mattie Couture, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3.

The victory got Lemon Bay back to even at 5-5. As for North Port, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-6.

Lemon Bay didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 2-1 loss against Riverview Sarasota on the 31st. As for North Port, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 17-1 win against Lehigh on the 1st.
