Oxford Prep barely beat Vance Charter the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Oxford Prep put the hurt on Vance Charter with a sharp 21-2 win on Friday. The Griffins might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three games by 11 runs or more this season.

Bryson Preddy and Tanner Abbott made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Preddy tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Meanwhile, Abbott struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits. Preddy has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances. At bat, Preddy scored a run while getting on base in three of his six plate appearances, while Abbott scored three runs while going 3-for-5. That's the most hits Abbott has posted since back in March of 2024.

In other batting news, Oxford Prep got a massive performance out of Davis Faulkner, who got on base in four of his six plate appearances with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. That's the most runs Faulkner has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Drew West, who scored two runs while going 3-for-5.

Oxford Prep kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Vance Charter only managed three hits.

The victory made it two in a row for Oxford Prep and bumps their season record up to 5-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 3 runs in those games. As for Vance Charter, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.
