Basketball Recap: South Stokes Takes a Loss + How To Watch

If South Stokes was riding high fresh off their 53-25 takedown of Atkins on Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Sauras had to suffer through a 62-31 loss at the hands of the Parkland Mustangs.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Parkland to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kimora Brooks, who dropped a double-double with 17 points and 13 boards. The dominant performance also gave Brooks a new career-high in steals (seven). Another player making a difference was Taniya Eldridge, who dropped a double-double with 15 points and 12 rebounds.

South Stokes' defeat dropped their record down to 2-3. As for Parkland, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Looking ahead, South Stokes will head out on the road to take on McMichael at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Parkland, they will be taking part in a tournament against East Forsyth at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
