Lindblom will square off against Hancock at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
While Lindblom didn't have the best season last year (they finished 1-19-1), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They were the clear victors by a 22-4 margin over Hubbard on Wednesday. The victory was familiar territory for the Eagles, who have now won eight matchups in a row.
Andres Aguirre was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with six stolen bases, five runs, and three doubles. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 2.1 runs per game. Another player making a difference was Edgar Gomez, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Lindblom kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in four consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Hancock never let their opponents score on Wednesday. Everything went their way against Agricultural Science as they made off with a 17-0 win. With that victory, the Eagles brought their scoring average up to 6.3 runs per game.
Ryan Ostrowski made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits (and only one walk). He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Hancock is 3-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 3-7-1 otherwise. Ostrowski was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one home run, four runs, and two stolen bases. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2025.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Emiliano Leon, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. He has become a key player for Hancock: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 4-7-1 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Robert Morales, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
Lindblom's win bumped their record up to 8-3-1. As for Hancock, they picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 6-8-1.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal. Lindblom has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 8 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Hancock struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.3 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
