Basketball Recap: Bishop Walsh's Higher State Rank on Full Display on Friday

Bishop Walsh saw some tournament action on Friday. They walked away with a 39-30 victory over the Monclova Christian Academy Thunder. Given the Spartans' advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 212th in Maryland, while the Thunder are ranked 513th in Ohio), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Bishop Walsh's win bumped their record up to 6-15. As for Monclova Christian Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-6.

As of now, neither Bishop Walsh nor Monclova Christian Academy have any future games scheduled.
