Softball Recap: Refugio Comes Up Short

Refugio and Ganado squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Refugio had to settle for second. They came up short against the Indians, falling 16-0. The Bobcats were red-hot at the plate heading into the game (they scored no less than ten runs in the three contests prior), but the Indians' pitchers proved too tough.

The loss snapped Refugio's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 13-12 record. As for Ganado, the win (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 23-5-1.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Indians beat Refugio by a score of 16-0 later that day.
