Volleyball Recap: Temple Christian Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Temple Christian was the 3-0 winner over Ridgeview Christian when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. Temple Christian fell just short of Ridgeview Christian by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. While Temple Christian didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating Ridgeview Christian 25-0 in the first set.

Temple Christian took Ridgeview Christian into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking two-point loss. The match finished with set scores of 0-25, 25-0, 25-0, 0-25, 16-14.

Ridgeview Christian was led to victory by Avery Alexander and Josi Woody. Alexander had 29 digs and two aces, while Woody had 16 digs and three aces. Alexander is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last four games she's played.

Temple Christian has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-12 record this season. As for Ridgeview Christian, with the victory, they broke their three-match losing streak and moved their record to 10-5.

Temple Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against Roanoke Valley Christian on the 9th. As for Ridgeview Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against United Christian Academy on Monday.
