Baseball Recap: Caney Picks Up Fifth Straight Win at Home

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Leedey, Caney was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-2 win over the Coleman Wildcats. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Cougars have posted since March 15th.

Caney pushed their record up to 19-16 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.4 runs over those games. As for Coleman, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 16-11.

Coincidentally, Caney and Coleman will both be playing Granite the next time they take the field. The Wildcats will host Granite on Thursday, while the Cougars will host them on Friday.
