Baseball Recap: West Fork Triumphs

While West Fork didn't have the best season last year (they finished 5-23), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Dayton Broncos 3-2. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Gators.

West Fork pushed their record up to 9-4 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Dayton, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season.

West Fork will have a chance to go back-to-back against Dayton: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
