Volleyball Game Preview: Waukegan Bulldogs vs. Libertyville Wildcats

Waukegan is 0-4 against Libertyville since April of 2021 but things could change on Wednesday. The Bulldogs will square off against the Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. Libertyville took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Waukegan, who comes in off a win.

On Tuesday, Waukegan earned a 2-0 victory over Cristo Rey St. Martin. The win continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the CRSM: they've now won five in a row.

Waukegan easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-18.

Meanwhile, Libertyville faced Lake Zurich in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Wildcats fell 2-0 to the Bears. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Wildcats were not able to get on the board.

Waukegan's victory bumped their record up to 15-7. As for Libertyville, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 13-1.
