Football Recap: Smethport Takes a Loss

Smethport was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. They were dealt a 68-6 defeat at the hands of the Port Allegany Gators. The Hubbers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 48-0.

Special teams was responsible for all of the team's points. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Jonah Ganoe, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.

Smethport's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Port Allegany, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Smethport has already played their next contest, a 53-28 victory against Bucktail on the 19th. As for Port Allegany, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 36-6 win against Redbank Valley on the 19th.
