Basketball Recap: Xavier College Prep Now 9-3 over Last 12 Games

With a playoff win on the line, Xavier College Prep rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They strolled past the Eastmark Firebirds with points to spare, taking the game 48-33.

Irene(Noelle) Guiamatsia continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 9-for-12 to rack up 22 points along with five rebounds and three steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Xavier College Prep's points. Sade Charles was another key player, putting up ten points and three steals.

Xavier College Prep has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 19-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.2 points over those games. As for Eastmark, their defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 19-3.

Coming up, Xavier College Prep will face off against O'Connor at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. O'Connor will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Xavier College Prep surely won't give up without a fight. Eastmark does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
