Volleyball Recap: West Boca Raton Falls Despite Big Games from Eduardo Prado and Ithalo Souza

West Boca Raton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Olympic Heights Lions. The Bulls were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lions apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, West Boca Raton sadly wound up on the wrong side. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 18-25, 26-24, 19-25, 17-15.

West Boca Raton's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Ithalo Souza, who had 15 digs and four assists, and Eduardo Prado, who had 19 kills, 13 digs, four aces, and one block. Prado is on a roll when it comes to kills, as he's now had seven or more in each of the last eight games he's played.

West Boca Raton now has a losing record of 10-11. As for Olympic Heights, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West Boca Raton will host Dreyfoos School of the Arts at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Olympic Heights, they will welcome Santaluces at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
