Basketball Recap: Memphis East Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

After having lost a blowout in their previous game, Memphis East was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They snuck past the Memphis Central Warriors with a 59-55 victory. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Mustangs as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Memphis East now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Memphis Central, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 13-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Memphis East will venture away from home to face off against Kirby at 1:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Memphis Central, they will head out to take on Overton at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
