Volleyball Recap: Gabby Passehl and Jacey Cowden Secure Win for Shawano Community

Shawano Community won the last time they faced Valders and things went their way on Saturday too. The Hawks came out on top in a nail-biter against the Vikings, sneaking past 2-1.

Leading Shawano Community to victory were Jacey Cowden and Gabby Passehl. Cowden had seven digs and three aces, while Passehl had five digs and one assist. Those three aces gave Cowden a new career-high.

When it comes to explaining why Valders lost, don't look at Addison Schmidt. Despite the final result, she had nine digs and nine assists.

Shawano Community's record now sits at 9-15. As for Valders, they moved to 15-6 with that loss, which also ended their six-match winning streak.

Shawano Community has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat against Wabeno/Laona on the 20th. As for Valders, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Southern Door on the 20th.
