Windsor had already won seven in a row and they went ahead and made it eight on Saturday. They skirted past the Casa Grande Gauchos 5-3. Five seems to be a good number for the Jaguars as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Windsor got a great performance from AJ Rakowski as he struck out six batters over six innings while giving up three earned runs off eight hits (and not a single walk). Rakowski has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Brandon Curry, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double.

Windsor pushed their record up to 16-6 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 1.2 runs across that stretch. As for Casa Grande, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 16-6 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Windsor will take on Rancho Cotate at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Casa Grande, they will face off against Vintage at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Gauchos' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Crushers have averaged an impressive 6.4 runs per game this season.
