Football Recap: Tumwater Piles Up the Points Against Bainbridge + How To Watch

Tumwater won the last time they faced Bainbridge and things went their way on Friday too. The Thunderbirds claimed a resounding 45-6 win over the Spartans. Given the Thunderbirds' advantage in MaxPreps' Washington football rankings (they are ranked 18th, while the Spartans are ranked 94th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Peyton Davis was nothing short of spectacular: he rushed for 116 yards and three scores on only eight carries.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Tumwater proved: they limited Bainbridge to a paltry 0.5 yards per carry. The Thunderbirds didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 11.4.

The victory got Tumwater back to even at 1-1. As for Bainbridge, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Tumwater will take on Eastlake at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Bainbridge, they will challenge Bremerton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The game will give the Spartans their first taste of in-conference action this season.
