Field proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by eight) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Alliance Aviators, sneaking past 5-3. The victory continues a trend for the Falcons in their matchups with the Aviators: they've now won three in a row.

Field's record now sits at 8-3. As for Alliance, they moved to 9-5 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Looking ahead, Field will look to defend their home field on Monday against Streetsboro at 5:00 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Falcons 2.8, the Rockets 1.8) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Alliance, they will venture away from home to take on Minerva at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Lions' pitching crew has only allowed three runs per game this season, so the Aviators' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
