Football Recap: Syveon Hodges and Jayden Williams Pace Westside Defense + How To Watch

The Westside Seminoles came up short against the Prince Avenue Christian Wolverines on Friday, falling 43-22. While losing is never fun, the Seminoles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 174th, while the Wolverines are ranked 27th).

Although Westside took the loss, they still got scores from Tyleik Flint, Syveon Hodges, and James Neville.

Westside didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Hodges and Jayden Williams. Hodges got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Andrew Beard went supernova For Prince Avenue Christian., rushing for 113 yards and two TDs on only eight carries. Beard really tore up the turf during one magnificent 73-yard run. Ben Musser was another key player, throwing for 253 yards and three touchdowns on only 15 passes.

Westside's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Prince Avenue Christian, their win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Westside will take on Westover at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Prince Avenue Christian, they will challenge Blessed Trinity at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
