Volleyball Game Preview: Mason Comets vs. Turpin Spartans + How To Watch

The Mason Comets will venture away from home to square off against the Turpin Spartans at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Mason will be strutting in after a victory while Turpin will be coming in after a defeat.

On Thursday, Mason made easy work of Hamilton and carried off a 3-0 win.

Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Turpin's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They fell 3-1 to Kings. While the Spartans didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Knights 25-21 in the first set.

Turpin started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 28-26, 25-23, 25-18.

Mason pushed their record up to 16-4 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road. As for Turpin, their loss dropped their record down to 14-7.

Mason beat Turpin 3-1 in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Comets since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
