Volleyball Recap: Sophia Fuentes Key Part of Team Effort in Rangers Win

Smithson Valley's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Sophia Fuentes, who had 12 assists and five digs. That's the most digs Fuentes has posted over her last seven matches. Madison Moody also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Despite the loss, Taft saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Taylor Lee had six digs and two aces.

Smithson Valley now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Taft, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-2.
